It was FREEZING on this day….and when I say freezing I mean FREEZING. I’m such a Texan. I thought for such AWFUL weather circumstances we got some pretty cute shots. These boys also belong to me…yep- they’re mine…no really, they are my cousins. Aren’t they adorable.

My family is filled with BOYS…these two included. Aren’t they dolls? I had so much fun chasing the oldest one around trying to catch a smile or two…although he was more interested in looking at every light pole we encountered. Aren’t two year olds great!!!

Growing

Stone is already 3 months…they grow so fast.

I tell my boys that I’m gonna sit on them so that they can’t grow any taller. They just laugh and look at me like I’m crazy. It’s funny how one second you’re telling them to be big boys and put their clothes on by themselves, brush their teeth by themselves and go play by themselves…and then the next your wishing you could stunt their growth so they could remain your babies forever. They can’t win:).

Commitment

This is the word that comes to mind when I see these two love-birds who just celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary. So often our society gets caught up in the notion that love is supposed to be picture perfect or you can just say good-bye and move on. Marriage is sacred…it is personal…it is commitment. I am so happy for this beautiful couple and their life together…whatever the journey has brought. I look forward to one day being in their shoes!

Talk about a gorgeous family. These little boys were just dolls (do I sound 80?). This session was a “perfect” family session for me. The two older boys smiled on cue and the baby was cute even when he wasn’t feelin’ the picture taking. I guess mom and dad weren’t too bad themselves . Every time I do a session with a fun, well dressed and cooperative family- I walk away happy and confident about the pictures I am going to be able to give them. It sure makes my job fun and easy.

This is the third time in the past few months I have gotten to photograph this family! They are always so easy and so sweet. Heather was actually my very FIRST client when I started my business…hopefully she see’s a bit of improvement over the years .

A Baby and A Rocking Chair

One of my best friends just gave birth to her first baby…a baby boy. Yay for boys ! Her and her husband celebrated their first wedding anniversary, both of their birthdays and now Mr. E’s arrival…all in the month of September. Wow! That’s a lot of cake.

Thanks guys, for allowing me to photograph Easton. I hope the pictures that I captured will remain a reminder to you of such a special time in your lives.

Fall Mini-Session

Well, it’s that time again. Time for pumpkins, holidays, sweaters (ha ha), hot chocolate (again…ha ha), fall candles, good food and lots of quality family time…ha ha…just kiddin, mom ! It’s also time to think about those Christmas cards and great gift ideas for parents. I started offering my mini-sessions as a thank you to my clients and a “get your feet wet” kind of approach for future ones. The mini-session is a great deal in the world of custom photography. You get the quality shots you would with a full session- just on a smaller scale. You also have the ability to choose your location making your shoot unique (even though it’s at a discounted price). Mini-sessions are also a great way to get those few shots that you want to put together a Christmas Card.

I am only offering these sessions for the month of October and November. It may seem kind of early to think about, especially in Texas where the weather doesn’t change until November- but it’s time. I will be posting the remainder of my open dates below. Please email or call me if you would like to put your name in one of these slots. Once they are full – unfortunately I can not offer any more.

One family vs. two??? Save some money and get another family to pic with you. If the travel fee applies to you it will just be split between the two of you.
